Be a Scout at Any Age
Scouts BSA is for children ages 11-17 years old. Cub Scouts graduate out of the program to one of our Scouts BSA affiliated Troops in February of their 5th grade year. While our Cub Scout Pack is co-ed, our affiliated Scouts BSA Troops separate boys and girls for their meetings and activities. Pack 68, Troop 68, and Troop 168 are all chartered by the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church and collaborate on various special events throughout the year. Also, many siblings crisscross between these groups, making it convenient for families.
The Deacons of the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church started Boy Scout Troop 68 in 1926. Since then, hundreds of boys have been in its program. The Troop meets on Wednesday evenings.
Troop 168 was founded in 2019 soon after Scouting America started allowing girls into their program, thereby becoming one of the earliest girls' troops of Scouting America in the country. Troop 168 meets on Monday evenings.
